A very warm welcome to you! My name is Amanda and am a certified Play Therapist based in Hertfordshire. I have over 20 years experience in childcare and education as a TA, Learning support assistant  and as a Higher level teaching assistant. I also have a level 3  in Elkan speech and language support and am also Nurture trained . I have previously worked in an enhanced provision in Essex for primary school children whose progression in their current school is of concern due to  experiencing barriers to their learning caused by behaviour, emotional well being needs or social difficulties. Therefore I have a vast experience of working with children who have suffered childhood trauma and attachment difficulties.

 I am on the PTUK’S Register of Play and Creative Arts Therapists and this register is managed by PTUK and accredited by the Professional Standard Authority.
I am passionate about the wellbeing of children (and adults) and with funding recently being cut to schools the concern about children’s wellbeing led me to complete an additional training course with Lara Kasza, an Accredited Play Therapist, Senior Clinical Supervisor and the founder of SandStory Therapy & Skills® – giving  schools the opportunity to train members of staff to become SandStory Skills® practitioners.
